In 2008 Nolan Partners became the Official Executive Search and Selection Partner of the Sport Industry Group.
As a part of this ongoing association we are involved with the flagship events that come under the Sport Industry Group banner – The Sport Industry Interview, the FT Sport Industry Summit and the Annual Sport Industry Awards.
The Sport Industry Interview
The Sport Industry Interview in association with Nolan Partners, took place at the Bloomberg Studios in central London on the 11th June.
In front of an exclusive, invite-only audience of 250 of the leading practitioners from the UK sport industry, Richard Scudamore engaged in an in-depth interview conducted by BBC presenter John Inverdale.
Scudamore was joined on stage by Rita Benson LeBlanc, the Owner and Executive Vice President of the New Orleans Saints – one of the teams taking part in this year’s regular season NFL game to be staged in London – who discussed with Scudamore the issue of international expansion amongst other relevant topics.
Richard Scudamore was the third leading personality to take part in the annual Sport Industry Interview follows on from previous interviewees, FIFA President Sepp Blatter and former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone in 2007 and 2006 respectively.
The FT Sport Industry Summit
Brought together the most powerful and influential names in the world of commercial sport, including leading figures from Government,UK governing bodies, brands, broadcasters, sponsors, rights holders and agencies.
The 2008 Summit on the 4th November was once again the pivotal event of the sport business calendar with decision-makers and agenda-setters addressing the fundamental challenges facing the fast changing UK sport industry.
Nolan Partner sponsored the Leadership Panel discussing ‘Leading in Tough Times’ which comprised Lord Triesman, Chairman of The FA; Roger Draper, CEO the LTA; Mike Miller, CEO of the IRB and Nick Fry CEO of Honda Racing F1.
The Sport Industry Awards
The Sport Industry Awards is Europe’s largest and most prestigious commercial sport awards. The Awards recognise and reward the best the sport business has to offer in marketing, PR, sponsorship, new media, publishing, advertising and design.
